My name is Rita Kostama. I am 42 years old persistent and empathetic entrepreneur, married and a mother of 2 lovely daughters.
My company’s name is Kirjanpitopalvelu Kostama. I came to Finland as a refugee quota in 1998. My first hometown was Turku. In 2001 I moved from Turku to Espoo. I moved to Järvenpää with my family in 2009.
I am privileged and grateful to be involved in many things from the depth of my heart.
I am a Refugee Woman of the Year 2016, I am a City Councilor of Järvenpää City (2017-), I serve as Parish Councilor of Järvenpää Parish (2018-) and I am a member of the representative body of HOK-Elanto (2020-).
I am running for municipal elections for the second term to continue with the good work, which I started in 2017, when I was elected for the first time and entrusted with the mandate to represent Järvenpää residents.
I have received my education in Finland. In 2005 I got a vocational qualification in business and administration (VQBA) and in spring 2015 I graduated as BBA from Laurea University of Applied Sciences.
My hobbies include figure skating and ice swimming. In addition I do volunteer work in different organizations, at the local church and in my town. I am a public speaker. For example I visit schools and participate in panels.
I am cheerful, good willing, helpful, hard working, kind and brave. I value safety, family, education, work, equality and well-being.
